About the Job

This Technical Laboratory Assistant role involves supporting daily lab operations, assisting various teams, and ensuring laboratory systems and functions run smoothly. As part of our Lab Support team in TN Ireland, you will work at our GMP Laboratory facility in Athlone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Glassware management (Cleaning, inspection, stocking, and ordering of Laboratory glassware).
  • Chemical inventory (Ordering of chemicals, reagents, and consumables)
  • Chemical waste management
  • PPI Projects
  • Stock inventory management
  • Data Entry
  • Audit and Client Visit Prep
  • Other duties/projects assigned by supervisor/manager
  • CISPro management of goods received
  • General lab duties
  • Ensuring safety stations are adequately stocked with spill kits and Diphoterine stations
  • Involved in ERT and First Aid
  • Monitoring safety in the labs and reporting near misses
  • Cross-trained to provide cover and support to other departments in Lab Support
  • Serve as a point of contact for analyst queries and requests

Qualifications and Skills

  • Leaving Certificate or 3rd level related course/certificate
  • Experience within a regulated GMP environment is beneficial
  • Experience within a manufacturing/process driven environment adhering to SOPs and procedures

Working Conditions

  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
  • Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for typical working hours.
  • Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to work in non-traditional work environments.
  • Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.
  • May have exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents, typically found in healthcare or laboratory environments.
  • Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
