Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in TIG/MIG, MAG or MMA welding configurations and be able to produce high-quality welds using various methods.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand pipe fabrication drawings for each project
  • Weld pipe sets for various diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel pipe ranging from 65mm - 500mm) from shop drawings
  • Ensure Company H&S Processes followed
  • Operate MIG/TIG or MMA welding equipment
  • Use precision measurement instruments
  • Use metal cutting and grinding equipment

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a skilled MIG or TIG welder
  • Ability to interpret welding procedure requirements
  • Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings
  • Prior experience as a pipe welder producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG and able to use MMA
  • Prior experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment
