Counsellor/Therapist Required for Primary Care Settings

Clinical counsellors and therapists are sought after to provide short-term counselling services in primary care settings. The role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions to clients aged 18 years and over.

The successful applicant will work under the governance of the HSE National Counselling Service, providing counselling services to medical card holders. This opportunity also includes the potential to deliver trauma-informed counselling contracts to adult survivors of childhood trauma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver short-term counselling services to medical card holders
  • Work collaboratively with the HSE National Counselling Service
  • Potentially provide trauma-informed counselling contracts

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria:

  • A recognised Level 7 qualification or higher in a relevant human science discipline (QQI)
  • Hold a degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy accredited by IACP/BACP or a relevant body within ICP
  • Fulfill the eligibility criteria for full accredited membership with one of the following: IACP/BACP or a relevant body within ICP
