Job Description

3D Design Coordinator Role

The role of 3D Design Coordinator is crucial in supporting our multi-disciplinary design projects by coordinating and managing the creation of detailed designs.

  • Interface with clients to understand their scope and requirements, facilitating effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Develop and maintain the DeLPD (Digitally Enabled Lean Project Delivery) Execution Plan to ensure seamless execution of projects.

  • Oversee the entire process of 3D modelling design from early phases to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

  • Coordinate space management and lead project teams in equipment stack-up studies, pipe rack & services design, room layout, etc.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development of each discipline's Design Philosophy to ensure consistency across all projects.

  • Conducting design risk assessments to identify potential pitfalls and develop strategies for mitigation.

  • Contributing to the development of the Integrated Project Schedule to optimize project delivery.

  • Creating and managing discipline estimates and resource loading for DeLPD administration support.

  • Coordinating with external designers, including Cleanroom, Sprinklers, Super skids, etc.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Architectural discipline is highly preferred.

  • At least 10 years of experience in a design firm setting, preferably in the Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical, Cell & Gene Therapy sectors.

  • In-depth understanding of all disciplines and their applications in 3D design.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical principles, theories, and concepts of spatial design for complex process facilities, including process piping design.

  • Understanding of international and local standards regarding safe operation and maintenance impacting building layout design.
