Purchasing Professional Wanted

A seasoned purchasing professional will collaborate with the Procurement Manager to optimize procurement processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Initiate purchase orders on the purchase system, adhering to industry standards.
- Maintain the purchase system, updating relevant data, preparing business intelligence reports, and other operational tools.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding deliveries and order dates.
- Interface with Project teams regarding purchasing and supplier inquiries.
- Prepare commercial insights for reporting purposes.
- Provide pricing support for the Estimation department when required.
- Represent the Purchasing Department at meetings as needed.
- Support the Finance department with supplier and cost reporting information and resolving invoice queries.
- Comply with quality, environmental, health, and safety management system requirements and apply these policies in all aspects of work.
- Minimum 2+ years experience in contracting buying environments.
- Experience in construction projects.
- Professional certification in purchasing or procurement is desirable.
- May suit a QS with purchasing experience.
- Proficiency in Sage purchasing software is an asset.
- An assertive negotiator with initiative and ability to improve pricing structures.
