At Virtue Integrated Care, we are committed to providing exceptional care services to our residents. As a Director of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in leading our team and ensuring the highest standards of care are met.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide professional and business leadership in the day-to-day operations of our nursing home. This includes fulfilling line manager responsibilities in governance, clinical care, social care, transitions, family support, HR management, financial administration, and facility management.
To achieve this, the successful candidate must hold a registered General Nurse qualification on the Register of Nurses held by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. They should also have evidence of continuous professional development, a post-registration management qualification in health or a related field, and not less than 3 years' experience in nursing older persons within the previous 6 years.
In addition, the ideal candidate should have experience in a management capacity in the health and social care area, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with residents, family members, team members, management, and external bodies such as HIQA, HSE, and GPs.
