A Maintenance & Reliability specialist is required to join a leading global Life Science business based in Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technical expert focused on instrumentation, calibration and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

The role will involve owning all aspects of the site calibration program and providing support to health authorities and regulatory bodies during audits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expertise on electrical and instrumentation issues during start up and normal operations
  • Owning and being responsible for all aspects of instrumentation equipment installed on site
  • Reviewing current instrument equipment performance to prevent potential reliability issues and implementing monitoring programs
  • Selecting equipment for new capital projects and re-capitalisation projects, including assessing spare parts requirements

Requirements:

  • Level 8 Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in a maintenance/engineering role within a highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of relevant EU directives (e.g. ATEX) and national/international engineering standards (e.g. NSAI, NECI, IEC, ISO, CEN, ISA, CENELEC)
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and equipment failure investigation
  • Familiarity with Global Maintenance processes and procedures
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
