Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks supporting the Finance function, including preparation of monthly management accounts packs and overseeing banking, intercompany and sales reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of period end management accounts including departmental reporting and analysis
  • Post period end journals
  • Cashflow reporting with commentary
  • Manage projects, including sales invoicing, cost control and credit control
  • Manage overhead cost control and Fixed Asset Register
  • Support Financial Controller with year-end statutory audit and reporting

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in accounting, such as ACCA or CIMA, and at least 2 years' experience in producing accounts within a small/medium company environment.

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills essential
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting software and financial reporting and analytical tools
  • Ability to critically analyse and assess information
  • Excellent attention to detail, with an ability to use initiative and always maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Self-motivated and capable of recommending improvements in internal processes
