Production Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Coordinator to join our operations team. This pivotal role ensures the smooth running of our busy production facility, overseeing workflow, coordinating schedules, and maintaining strong communication between customers, workshop teams, and management.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and time management skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and proven experience in a customer-facing role. They will be able to manage the flow of work from quotation through to job completion, act as the main point of contact for customers, and maintain a strong pipeline of work to ensure profitability on all jobs.

We require a proactive, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking approach with a mechanical or technical background in vehicles, trailers, or plant equipment. Comfortable with modern software systems and reporting tools, they will also contribute to continuous improvement and support training initiatives across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the flow of work from quotation through to job completion.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates and approvals on estimates.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of work and ensure profitability on all jobs.
  • Coordinate with the Workshop Supervisor and other departments to achieve high efficiency.
  • Ensure operational processes, KPIs, and health & safety standards are met.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and support training initiatives across the team.

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Problem-solving ability and confidence in making decisions.
  • Mechanical/technical background in vehicles, trailers, or plant equipment (advantageous).
