The role of a Newly Qualified Accountant involves supporting senior management with budgeting, tax planning, and systems development. This includes preparing monthly management accounts for group companies, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and managing inter-company transactions. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for cashflow management, developing and maintaining internal accounting policies and business processes, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and taxation obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts for group companies
- Support senior management with budgeting, tax planning, and systems development
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Manage inter-company transactions
- Cashflow management
- Develop and maintain internal accounting policies and business processes
- Continuously review and enhance internal financial controls
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and taxation obligations
- Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors
- Contribute to various ad hoc finance projects as required
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should be a Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with proficient IT skills. A proactive and critical thinker with strong communication skills is also essential. Fluency in English is required.
