About the Role

The Payments team is responsible for handling all customer transactions, including taxes, customs, returns, refunds, and more. We aim to improve our payment infrastructure, focusing on scale, reliability, diversity of payment options, fraud mitigation, transaction modeling, and tax processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance aspects of the domain as an expert.
  • Design complex distributed systems and architect systems to drive business outcomes.
  • Define technical roadmaps, identify improvement areas, and lead solutions.
  • Mentor others and foster inclusive teams.
  • Take ownership of projects from start to finish and deliver high-quality features iteratively.
About You

You should have 8+ years of experience building scalable systems, excellent product instincts, prioritizing user experience and long-term objectives, and strong ownership of projects.

Preferred qualifications include experience with payment systems and international commerce, startup experience at a high-growth company, knowledge of programming languages like Python, Elixir, JavaScript, and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
