Key Responsibilities

This role involves managing a team of staff, ensuring smooth operations, efficient stock management, and timely order fulfilment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all incoming and outgoing goods meet food safety and quality standards.
  • Overseeing stock control, storage, and rotation to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Enforcing food safety, quality, and health & safety standards, reviewing and improving processes to maintain compliance with company and industry regulations.
  • Leading daily staff meetings, providing feedback, and ensuring clarity on roles and responsibilities.
  • Managing staffing levels, schedules, and task delegation for efficiency.
  • Overseeing timely processing and dispatch of orders to meet deadlines and maintain a high order fill rate.
  • Coordinating with drivers to prevent delays.
  • Ensuring staff are properly trained, maintaining accurate training records, and fostering continuous employee development.
  • Monitoring and enhancing performance through accountability.
  • Identifying and addressing issues proactively, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous people supervisory/management experience within food manufacturing.
  • An open-minded approach to learning and adapting to new systems and processes.
