Our research team is looking for a highly motivated and talented PhD student to join us in investigating the genetic underpinnings of neuropsychiatric disorders using cutting-edge long-read sequencing technology.

The project will involve the design and implementation of a research protocol to generate high-quality whole-genome LRS data for families affected by neuropsychiatric disorders.

Working closely with our experienced researchers, you will develop and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for structural variant and copy number variant analysis, and analyze and interpret the generated data to identify novel pathogenic variants associated with these conditions.


Requirements:
  • A strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Experience with bioinformatics software and programming languages, such as Python or R
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a range of different stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, and patients, to advance our understanding of neuropsychiatric disorders.
