About the Role

Tax Expert - Financial Planning Specialist


Our client, a global manufacturing leader in various sectors such as automotive and healthcare, seeks an experienced Tax Expert to join their team. As a key member of the financial planning department, this role will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting.



Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions for US GAAP purposes, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Engage effectively with cross-functional teams, including Finance and Tax, to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of company income tax reporting in its financial statements.
  • Tax Strategy and Research: Communicate the drivers of the company's effective tax rate and cash tax payments for foreign entities, providing valuable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Drive process improvements and automation implementation for income tax accounting, ensuring the company's internal controls are properly designed, implemented, and maintained.
  • Global Projects: Support global projects related to income tax accounting and cash taxes, contributing to the development of best practices within the organization.


Requirements
  • Degree and Experience: A degree in finance, accounting, or tax, coupled with significant experience in income tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or large corporation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Applications, OneSource Tax Provision software, SAP, and ASC 740 Income tax accounting principles.
  • Leadership Qualities: Strong analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
