Lead Care Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Care Professional to join our dynamic team.

  • Job Description:
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily shifts and rostering arrangements within the unit.
  • Oversee Social Care Workers, providing effective guidance and support for the team.
  • Manage all administrative procedures related to in-house cash and payroll.
  • Address the primary care needs of each young person and contribute to stimulating activity programs.
  • Maintain and update relevant records and files, providing written reports for reviews and case conferences.
  • E nsure the rights and responsibilities of children are respected, preventing any forms of abuse, including bullying.
  • Develop and maintain a therapeutic environment, focusing on individual and group work with young people and their families.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a residential setting with children
  • CORU Registered desirable
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and risk management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including social work departments and healthcare providers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team
