The role of Director of Nursing is a vital position within our organization, responsible for leading and coordinating the development and delivery of the Infection Prevention and Control service.

Key to this role is the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the Infection Prevention and Control team to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care. This includes:

• Coordinating training and education programs for healthcare staff\
• Working closely with Consultant Microbiologists/Microbiology Services to ensure alignment with clinical accountabilities\
• Providing support and guidance to staff to ensure adherence to established protocols and procedures\
• Ensuring ongoing evaluation and improvement of the infection prevention and control program\
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting on progress against set targets\
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to policy development\
• Engaging with relevant stakeholders to foster partnerships and collaborative relationships\
• Communicating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of services\
• Managing budgets and resources effectively to optimize outcomes\
