We are currently looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our client's team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This role involves managing the payroll process, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the implementation of process improvements.
Main Responsibilities:- Supervise the fortnightly payroll process for staff and pensioners, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Revenue and organisational policies.
- Prepare and submit reconciliations and statutory returns, such as pensions and CSO reports, in line with deadlines.
- Develop high-quality reports and responses to external stakeholders, including the Department of Transport and Freedom of Information requests.
- Contribute to cash flow forecasting related to payroll payments.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including HR, Revenue, and external service providers.
- Ensure robust internal controls and audit standards are maintained to support compliance.
- Contribute to the annual audit, financial statements, and budget preparation processes.
- Collaborate on projects aimed at improving business processes, including system upgrades and enhancements.
- Mentor and manage staff as required to ensure efficient operations.
