We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team in Maynooth, Kildare.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial part in shaping the future of our nursing home, working closely with our management team to develop and implement strategies that drive excellence in patient care.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in healthcare clinical management, excellent leadership and organisational skills, and a passion for promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits and follow up on results to ensure compliance with Company and HIQA standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement staff induction and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging staff to share ideas and best practices.
  • Liaise with external community agencies to promote partnerships and collaborations that benefit our residents and the wider community.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the home.
  • Ensure effective communication and liaison with all stakeholders, including staff, residents, family members, and external partners.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A qualified nurse with at least 3 years' experience in management roles in care of the older person.
  • A post-registration management qualification in health or a related field.
  • Proven track record in healthcare clinical management.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Sound decision-making ability and results-driven.
  • Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the company.
