At TN Ireland, we are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Medical Device Engineer to join our team in Galway. As a Senior Research and Development Professional, you will be responsible for designing and developing new medical devices from initial concept phase through design freeze, verification, and validation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy & physiology with engineering knowledge in materials and processes. You will effectively represent the company while interacting with physicians to distil their needs into product requirements and concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new medical devices
  • Work from basic clinical need through opportunity assessment and device concept to prototype
  • Represent the company while interacting with physicians
  • Participate in technical innovation across the department
  • Identify and mitigate technological risks throughout the design process

Requirements:

  • Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years relevant direct engineering experience within medical device environment
  • Dynamic team player with strong communication and presentation skills
