We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team at our manufacturing site in Co Cavan. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the EPA's Corporate Governance Framework and be able to apply it to our business operations.
About the Role:
As a key member of the site Management team, you will be responsible for the overall direction of EH&S onsite and managing site safety and environmental activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish clear safety goals and devise strategies to achieve them.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Embed the EPA's Corporate Governance Framework into business operations.
§ Provide expert advice and support to Management and employees on environmental, health and safety matters, focusing on accident prevention and compliance with regulations.
§ Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with local regulations, industry best practices, and company objectives.
§ Formulate and manage an audit structure to evaluate conformance to environmental, health and safety policies and framework, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
§ Conduct incident investigations to uncover root causes and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences.
§ Collaborate with senior management and health and safety teams to formulate action plans to mitigate and address non-conformances.
§ Design and deliver training programs to equip employees with knowledge of safe work practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
§ Min Education: Degree in Health & Safety or Environmental Field
§ Experience adhering to EPA corporate framework
§ 3+ Years Experience working as a EHS specialist
§ Strong people management and leadership skills.
