Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Financial Assurance Specialist.

  • Ensure project expenditures are eligible, accurate and within budget. The candidate will be responsible for verifying project expenses to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Complete and produce verification reports, highlighting non-compliance and irregularities. This involves reviewing financial records and identifying areas where improvements can be made.
  • Confirm projects comply with grant applications and contract conditions. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills and be able to interpret complex financial data.
  • Tailor verification work to project size and nature, addressing irregularities. This may involve collaborating with other departments or external auditors to ensure consistency in reporting.
  • Report non-compliance and financial irregularities, providing improvement recommendations. The candidate will be expected to communicate their findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  • Review and evaluate funding schemes, policies and procedures. This involves staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensuring that our organization is compliant.
  • Safely store financial records. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and secure records of all financial transactions.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits. This involves coordinating with auditors to ensure that all necessary documentation is available and that the audit process runs smoothly.
  • Develop strong working relationships within the organisation. The successful candidate will be expected to build effective relationships with colleagues across the organization.
  • Provide professional guidance and recommendations for verification functions. This involves sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues to improve overall performance.
