Position Overview

The role of Assistant Director of Nursing is a senior clinical position that reports to the Director of Nursing.

This role will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, managing the day-to-day clinical practices in the care centre, appropriate staff rostering, delegation and supervision, performance and development, clinical governance and assessment of risks.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day clinical practices
  • Provide clinical leadership
  • Collaborate with senior management team
Skills and Attributes

To be successful in this role you must have excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills. You must also be able to collaborate effectively within a senior management team, make sound decisions and motivate yourself and others.

You will need to have first level registration and be registered on the Irish live register. Previous management experience is also essential.
