Job Description

We are seeking a Data Operations Leader to oversee the development and execution of data collection, creation, and annotation workflows. This role emphasizes operational excellence, strategic leadership, and innovative thinking to ensure the delivery of high-quality training data that meets client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the end-to-end execution of data collection, creation, and annotation workflows across diverse data types.
  • Collaborate with clients to define project goals, align on training data requirements, and ensure the delivery of impactful solutions for their AI and machine learning objectives.
  • Implement scalable systems and processes to ensure the highest data quality, such as golden datasets, quality assurance protocols, and advanced workflow designs tailored to complex AI/ML needs.
  • Lead and develop teams of data quality specialists, annotators, and operations managers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and KPIs.
  • Address the nuances and edge cases inherent in training data projects by designing creative, flexible solutions that meet evolving client demands.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, with a proven focus on data annotation, collection, or other AI/ML-related processes.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams (50+) and deliver results in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Intermediate level of familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
  • Deep understanding of training data workflows, data structures, and scalable operational systems.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, and traditional AI/ML processes.
