Job Opportunity:

EPS Group is seeking a skilled professional to work as a Water Treatment Process Operator in the Sligo region. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the drinking water treatment process and experience in operating mechanical and electrical plant and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and analyzing processes, completing record sheets, and taking process samples
  • Calibrating and verifying instrumentation, as well as servicing equipment
  • Performing routine operational duties and regular maintenance tasks
  • Conducting on-site laboratory analysis and optimizing processes
  • Assisting with heavy manual tasks from time to time
  • Working outside in various weather conditions

Requirements:

  • Experience in operating and maintaining drinking water treatment plants
  • Proficiency in drinking water parameter testing and process optimization
  • Knowledge of SCADA and PLC programming
  • Experience in calibrating and servicing instrumentation
  • Qualification in an instrumentation and/or science discipline is advantageous
