Senior Medical Scientist (Blood Transfusion)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Medical Scientist to lead service delivery and development of our accredited Blood Transfusion laboratory. This role requires expertise in Blood Transfusion, problem-solving, and staff supervision.
The successful candidate will have in-depth subject knowledge and a strong background in Blood Transfusion, with at least four years of experience since qualification. They will also have excellent communication skills, be able to maintain focus under pressure, and demonstrate effective interaction with colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead service delivery and development of the Blood Transfusion laboratory
- Supervise staff and provide guidance on Blood Transfusion work
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for Blood Transfusion services
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements:
- CORU-registered Medical Scientist
- Eligibility for Fellowship of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine
- At least four years' experience in Blood Transfusion since qualification
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
