Dillon Engineering Services is a leading engineering firm dedicated to delivering exceptional services and solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Engineer for Mechanical Commissioning to join our team.

Job Description

The Commissioning Engineer - Mechanical Systems will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, testing, and performance validation of mechanical systems across our projects. This includes but is not limited to:

  • HVAC systems: fans, AHUs, ductwork, VAVs, and refrigerant systems.
  • Life support systems: fire smoke damper systems, hydronic pipe works systems, evaporative cooling and waste heat recovery.
  • Building automation systems (BAS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the commissioning process for mechanical systems on assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish commissioning schedules and ensure timely project completion.
  • Develop and implement effective commissioning strategies to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct thorough testing and calibration of mechanical systems to validate their functionality and performance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of commissioning procedures, test results, and system performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports for review and delivery to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in commissioning mechanical systems for industrial or commercial projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
