Job Summary:

  • Provide expert anaesthesia services to patients undergoing surgery or other interventions
  • Develop and implement pre-assessment protocols to improve patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of anaesthetic services, including ambulatory gynaecology and obstetric anaesthesia
  • Teach and mentor undergraduate, postgraduate, and advanced fellowship-level students
  • Engage in clinical audit and proactive risk management to ensure high standards of care

Essential Requirements:

  • Registration with the Medical Council of Ireland as a Specialist in Anaesthesia
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric anaesthesia, with experience in pre-assessment, intraoperative care, and postoperative management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in complex situations
