Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Relief Family Support Worker to join our team in Clare. This role involves providing in-home and community-based support to children with additional needs and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide flexible family support services to meet the diverse needs of children and families.
  • Work closely with Family Support & Respite Coordinators to coordinate support services.
  • Supervise and assist families in developing strategies to address challenges related to disability and special needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and develop new initiatives that promote inclusive practices and support for families.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum QQI Level 5 Childcare course or equivalent qualification.
  • Access to reliable transport.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Desirable: 1 year's experience working with children with additional needs.
