Senior Process Automation Specialist

The Staff Automation and Controls Engineer will provide technical expertise for the site in the field of automation, with a focus on providing day-to-day support to operations, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and providing technical leadership to the wider engineering team.
- Deliver high-quality technical solutions to complex problems through automation systems knowledge.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, technicians, and team members as required.
- Work collaboratively within project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and integrate software applications with automated equipment into existing business intelligence digital tools used onsite.
- Take ownership of the software applications and hardware used to house the sites digital business intelligence tools, ensuring optimum performance.
- Contribute to process development and cost reduction activities within the business units.
- Relevant degree (e.g., Electrical/Electronic Engineer, Computer Science) or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum 4-6 years' experience in software and controls in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of delivering automation projects.
- Strong technical background in areas such as PLC, HMI, Robotics, GAMP, GMP.
- Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens controls systems an advantage.
- Good communication and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
