Job Title: Facilities Technician

Company Overview:

A market-leading aviation maintenance specialist provides expert support for aircraft.

They specialise in areas such as engineering and testing, airframe, engine, safety slides and rafts, industrial gas and turbines, and tooling.

Their team of dedicated professionals keeps customers centre stage through personal contact support tailored to clients' operational needs, product partnerships to improve on-wing performance and reliability, technical support on-site, removing the need to navigate call centres, tailored workshops to satisfy clients' requirements and the ability to rapidly gain new capabilities to support customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting aircraft for mechanical problems or damage
  • Repairing and replacing aircraft parts, such as engines, bearings, and landing gear
  • Testing and troubleshooting aircraft systems to ensure proper working conditions
  • Refuelling and servicing aircraft with necessary fluids and oils
  • Running regular diagnostic tests on aircraft
  • Responding to reported mechanical issues
  • Ordering and replacing malfunctioning parts on planes
  • Cleaning and maintaining the engines
  • Reporting any serious issues to management

Requirements:

  • A trade qualification, or a mechanical engineering diploma / degree in an engineering discipline is required
  • Experience working previously in a maintenance position, working day to day on various types of heavy machinery is essential
  • Experience working in the aviation industry, manufacturing, automotive or similar industry is highly desirable
  • Electrical experience is advantageous but not compulsory
  • A driving licence is required

What You Will Receive:

  • A competitive salary ranging from €45,000 – €50,000.00 after 6 months with 20% shift allowance (€60k full package)
