Barden partners with a well-regarded not-for-profit organisation in the Dublin region to support the appointment of a financial operations specialist.

This is a full-time opportunity ideal for someone part-qualified in accounting or working towards an Accounting Technician qualification, seeking experience in a purpose-driven environment. The role offers collaboration within a finance team and exposure across reporting, compliance, ledger management, and financial operations.

The Role

  • Assist with VAT and RCT return preparation and management
  • Support ledger management, including income and expenditure posting and reconciliation across various cost centres
  • Assist in journal preparation and financial reporting
  • Reconcile petty cash and company cards across multiple locations
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and processes
  • Prepare statutory and internal financial returns for review
  • Support the year-end audit process
  • Take on additional finance-related duties as required

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Part-qualified accountant or Accounting Technician (or equivalent)
  • 1–2 years' experience in a finance role, preferably within a regulated or complex environment
  • Solid understanding of financial systems and controls; experience with accounting software and Excel required
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Prior exposure to public funding or the not-for-profit sector is beneficial but not essential
