Project Manager - Utility Services

Job Description:

  • Gather in-depth knowledge of the utility requirements for a site and understand all implications of proposed projects.
  • Advocate on behalf of the utilities department to ensure delivery of a high-quality, practical, and efficient project solution.

Daily engagement with the project team - including project engineers, suppliers & contractors, ORP leads, and management.

Represent end-user interests during project design and scoping - ensuring EHS, training, and future maintenance plans are among project considerations.

Develop and agree Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with the project team.

Maintain engagement with stakeholder departments during each project phase.

Work closely with the project team to prioritize energy efficiency and sustainability in all design and build discussions.

Create comprehensive commissioning protocols to ensure necessary testing and training are facilitated.

Collaborate with project engineering teams to determine commissioning timelines and schedule vendor supports.Coordinate training requirements, including plant manual reviews and SOP updates.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years' experience in utility management within large-scale manufacturing environments, preferably in the dairy, food, beverage, or healthcare industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with best practices such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma/Business Excellence, and driving continuous improvement projects.
  • Motivated and self-driven.
  • Strong analytical and IT skills.
