Process Technician Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work within a highly automated environment to optimize uptime and achieve key business metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive day-to-day operating requirements.
- Monitor and manage production yield performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Liaise with Team Leaders on productivity and efficiency issues.
- Provide technical support for mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting.
- Detect and resolve malfunctioning systems to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with support teams for preventative maintenance and calibration activities.
- Identify and implement technical improvements.
- Support process equipment changes and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain compliance with site and corporate Quality Management System requirements.
- Provide out-of-hours support as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong technical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Methodical approach with good attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Certificate/Diploma in Engineering or Trade qualification is required.
- 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment or multiple years in a similar role.
- Prior experience in low voltage controls, PLCs, instrumentation, and calibration is an advantage.
