Job Description

ESB Networks is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the electricity network. We are seeking highly skilled individuals to join our company and help deliver work programmes as part of our Net Zero by 2040 Strategy.

We are recruiting Electricians to join our teams, working across all voltage levels: High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV).

  • Work on HV and MV substations
  • Operate HV, MV, and LV systems safely and competently

Our team members will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including construction, maintenance, and repair of HV and MV substations, as well as operating HV, MV, and LV systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a QQI Advanced Level 6 Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent qualifications recognised by SOLAS. Additionally, they will need to hold a Full clean, Category B, Driving Licence and be comfortable with working from heights.

  • Manual Handling and Basic First Aid training
  • Safe Pass certification
  • Relevant work approvals

Previous experience working in the electrical trade industry, particularly with HV, MV, and LV system operations, station construction, maintenance and repair, is highly desirable.
