Regulatory Expert Wanted

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Compliance Officer to join our team and assist in the management of compliance services provided by Waystone. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a significant impact in ensuring regulatory compliance within our organization.

• Act as MLRO/AML Compliance Officer to a portfolio of UCITS, AIFMD or Cayman Islands Collective Investment Schemes.
• Responsible for creating and maintaining beneficial ownership registers for clients of the firm and filing them with the appropriate central registry.
• Prepare and present quarterly MLRO Reports to Fund Boards;
• Draft and maintain AML Policies and AML Risk Assessments;
• Conduct annual on-site inspections at the fund Administrator, report findings to the board of directors, and make recommendations as appropriate;
• Deliver ongoing and annual AML training to the fund board of directors;
• Deal with financial sanctions or negative news alerts and report as appropriate.
• Investigate potentially suspicious transactions and report to the authorities as appropriate.
• Complete assigned tasks within the Ire MLRO Service Task Manager
• Liaise with external stakeholders on all AML/CFT matters.
• Ad-hoc responsibilities as delegated by the Head of MLRO or Senior Management of Waystone Centralized Services (IE) Limited

• Minimum of 5 years industry experience;
• Self-Starter with clarity of analysis and expression, both written and oral;
• Excellent interpersonal and client management skills;
• Excellent presentation and communication skills;
• Experience presenting to senior management and/or board of directors;
• Experiencing short-term project management, demonstrated achieving targets;
• Outstanding time management, organizational skills, oral/written communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail is required;
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment including reporting and providing support to various members of the team.
• Experience working as an MLRO or similar role, particularly in the funds industry, preferred.

• An internationally recognized professional Third level qualification;
• Professional Qualification and/or the LCI designation;
• Fluency in AML/CFT legislation/regulation/industry best practice as it applies to the funds industry.
