Job Title: Support Care Assistant

This is a full-time, permanent position with flexible working hours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing seamless short-notice care to clients while adhering to established working practices and methods.

Maintaining a consistently client-centric approach, prioritising their well-being and interests, is essential in this role.

The support care assistant will deliver high-quality care and assistance to our clients as per their personal care plans, including toileting, meal preparation, moving & transferring, and supervising medication.

Regular reporting to the line manager on any significant changes in a client's physical, behavioural, or social condition is also required.

The ideal candidate will undertake a range of personal and practical care duties with utmost professionalism and empathy.

Providing unwavering support while respecting the unique individuality of each client is crucial in delivering a service that reflects dignity and respect.

Encouraging and promoting independence in daily life activities is also an essential aspect of this role.

Collaborating effectively within a caregiving team, offering general support as needed, is vital.

Effective time management and punctuality are expected.

The successful candidate must adhere to health and safety regulations.

Required qualifications include a FETAC/QQI Level 5 Award or equivalent qualification in healthcare skills or pre-nursing courses.

A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes are also necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, be self-motivated and results-focused, and have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services to elderly clients.
