Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Junior Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering or a related field, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot technical issues reported by customers, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Diagnose hardware and software issues related to our product range, working closely with technical teams to secure information and solutions.
- Communicate with customers to ensure clear understanding of their issues, provide timely updates, and guide them through solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to maintain detailed records, such as internal technical service logs, product updates, changes, and comparisons.
- Engage in continuous product training to stay up-to-date with product features, configurations, and best practices.
- Work closely with colleagues to resolve issues efficiently and escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to higher-level support as needed.
- Assist customers with product setup, training, and offer guidance on best practices for using products.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- A technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven technical expertise with an ability to understand electrical systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
- Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and product developments.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CRM systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to approach problems methodically and evaluate potential solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Full, clean driving license in Ireland.
