Job Overview

The Automation Manager will provide clear leadership and direction within the Automation Team as it continues to grow. This role will focus on team management, project oversight, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality automation solutions across various water and wastewater projects throughout Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Automation team in the design and implementation of control systems across multiple project locations.
  • Provide oversight and guidance across all automation aspects of water and wastewater projects.
  • Support project planning, resource allocation, and team coordination to ensure successful delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal design, engineering, and project teams to ensure automation is effectively integrated into all project phases.
  • Support the professional development of engineers and technicians through coaching, training, and feedback.
  • Oversee the standardization of automation practices, documentation, and quality control measures across projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, company standards, and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and drive innovation within the automation discipline.
  • Assist in the selection and evaluation of automation technologies, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Managing automation subcontractors, including selection, performance monitoring, and coordination of activities.
  • Responding to and resolving client queries regarding automation systems and solutions.
  • Ensuring all automation implementations comply with project specifications and standards.
  • Developing and managing project budgets, including cost estimation and tracking.
