Senior Data Scientist Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our team and transform data into critical insights for core and new products.

This is an expat role with the opportunity to divide time between our office and home, based in Galway. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Data Science and work on high-impact data science solutions.

About the Role

The Senior Data Scientist's primary responsibility will be to collect and prepare data for analysis, creating models to evaluate the data and delivering solutions based on the model.

  • Data Analysis: Collect and prepare data for analysis, applying statistical methods to identify critical insights.
  • Model Development: Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis.
  • Solution Implementation: Translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business or product improvement.

Key qualifications include a BS or MS degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or another quantitative field, and 5–7 years of professional data science experience with a track record of delivering high-impact data science solutions.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  1. Data Wrangling: Mine and analyze data, applying statistical methods to identify critical insights for core and new products.
  2. Model Evaluation: Evaluate models and refine as needed, assessing performance and potential improvements.
  3. Predictive Modeling: Build accurate and impactful predictive machine learning models to be used by colleagues.
  4. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with and mentor junior data science teammates.
  5. Compliance: Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures, including HIPAA.
