Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to support our compliance function through policy review, regulatory research, monitoring, and participation in various compliance projects. This role will involve implementing the compliance framework across the business, leading and delivering assigned compliance projects within scope, time, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing the compliance framework across the business.
  • Lead and deliver assigned compliance projects within scope, time, and budget.
  • Perform ongoing compliance monitoring and testing activities.
  • Analyse management information to identify and escalate potential regulatory risks.
  • Prepare regulatory reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update compliance policies, manuals, and procedures.
  • Support compliance input at internal committees and meetings.
  • Monitor legislative developments and ensure the business is kept informed of changes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a compliance role, within the insurance sector.
  • Degree-level education; LCOI or ACOI qualification preferred.
  • Experience in legal, risk, or compliance functions.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Insurance contract terms and conditions.
    • Regulatory and commercial obligations.
    • Consumer protection, data privacy, and outsourcing requirements.
