As a Home Care Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives, helping them to maintain their independence and dignity.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing personal care and support to clients in their own homes.
  • Assisting with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Preparing meals and snacks for clients.
  • Providing companionship and social interaction for clients.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

In order to be considered for this role, you must have relevant qualifications and experience in care and support. This includes:

  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a home care environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements:

  • Personal experience and willingness to work towards QQI Level 5.
  • QQI Level 5 modules / Care Skills and Care of the Older Person.
