Senior Banking Systems Delivery Manager

Key Role:
A highly skilled Technical Delivery Lead is required to lead the technical delivery of banking projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time with high-quality standards.
This individual will collaborate with solution architects, product owners, engineering and test leads to drive delivery, ensure the successful completion of all major activities, tasks and deliverables pertaining to the requirement analysis and mapping stage, develop and maintain detailed project plans and track progress while managing changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
Responsibilities include overseeing the implementation, development, and testing of Credit and/or Core Banking systems, staying abreast of the latest Banking industry trends to drive innovation within the company, mentoring and supporting team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Additionally, this individual will assist clients in leading discussions with various Banking vendors on transformation projects.
- Lead the technical delivery of banking projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive delivery
- Ensure successful completion of project deliverables
- Develop and maintain project plans
- Oversee implementation, development, and testing of banking systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends
- Mentor and support team members
- Assist clients in leading discussions with vendors
Requirements:
- 8+ years of strong experience in technical project management, with a focus on banking systems
- Strong experience in stakeholder management
- Knowledge and proven experience of working with IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (SDLC) majoring in Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
- Ability to build and manage relationships across business and technology stakeholders
- Strong understanding of banking applications, architecture, and industry regulations
- Good understanding of Credit or Core Banking systems
- Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects end-to-end on time and within budget
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in delivering business value from technology as well as communicating the value to senior business stakeholders
- Experience working in banks across multiple product domains
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Experience with various project management tools and methodologies
- Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail
- Strong academic record including a third-level degree, preferably in IT or relevant field
- Experience in the consulting industry is advantageous
