As a Senior Core Network Engineering Manager, you will be accountable for delivering high-quality services, managing projects, and driving the success of geo-redundant connectivity solutions.
About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual with people management skills, ability to coach and mentor a team, and experience working in a NOC environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of HSS, PGW, STP, DRA, PCRF, GMSC, and SMSC. Additionally, they should be familiar with Kanban methodologies for workload management and have excellent documentation and communication skills.
Main Responsibilities
- Managing a team of highly experienced telecoms engineers.
- Accountable for the delivery, Level 3 Operations, and maintenance of a global telecoms core network infrastructure.
- Setting OKRs and conducting performance management with the team.
- Ensuring the continuous flow of work through the team to deliver on company targets.
- Validating 3rd party solutions and vendors are performant and cost-efficient.
- Driving the success of geo-redundant connectivity solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Familiarity and experience with HSS, PGW, STP, DRA, PCRF, GMSC, and SMSC.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and lead an experienced team.
- Negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Proven track record in working with small teams.
- Familiarity with Kanban methodologies for workload management.
- Experience working in a NOC environment preferred.
