Electrical Building Services Engineer Job Description

As an Electrical Building Services Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical building services for a diverse range of new-build projects. Your expertise in lighting, general power, switchgear, IT, schematics, schedules, calculations, floor plans, and associated specifications will play a vital role in delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical building services for new-build projects
  • Prepare contract documentation and specifications
  • Coordinate work with other design team members
  • Ensure that all designs and documents are prepared to the highest standards
  • Compile project reports
  • Conceptual design studies and reports
  • Mentor and develop graduate engineers in the group

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Working towards chartered status
  • Experience mostly gained in design within a consultancy environment
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
  • Experience in small to medium-sized projects
  • Revit proficient
  • Familiar with BIM standards and BIM project delivery
