Job Title: Gaming QA Specialist

At our company, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gaming QA Specialist to join us remotely and help elevate our game to new heights. Our goal is strong: to establish our game as the quintessential FPS of our time.

Job Description:
As a Gaming QA Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our games. You will work closely with our development team to identify, document, and track issues throughout the development process to ensure a polished and enjoyable gaming experience for our players.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand game design and functionality requirements.
  • Create detailed test plans and test cases based on game design documents and specifications.
  • Execute test cases to identify bugs and issues in the game software.
  • Document and track bugs and issues using bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).
  • Work closely with developers to reproduce and isolate issues for resolution.
  • Provide clear and concise reports on the status of testing and identified issues.
  • Collaborate with other QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Participate in regression testing and other quality assurance activities as needed.

Requirements:
Of course, you won't be alone on this mission - you'll be collaborating with the entire team and outside vendors to ensure we're maximizing our efforts and achieving our goals.

We're looking for someone with:
  • Demonstrated expertise in gaming QA, showcasing a keen eye for detail, functionality, and player experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on quality assurance/testing experience within the gaming industry essential.
  • Enthusiastic about embracing new software tools and technologies to enhance testing capabilities and stay at the forefront of industry trends.
  • In-depth familiarity with Unreal Engine, essential for executing tasks efficiently within the development pipeline.
  • Capable of working autonomously with a high level of self-direction and motivation, ensuring consistent progress and quality in assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrates a natural inclination towards creativity coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and adept time management abilities, facilitating seamless collaboration and efficient task completion.
  • Proven ability to collaborate within a team environment, thriving under deadlines and time constraints while maintaining a positive and constructive attitude.
