  • In this dynamic role, you will assist the Central Decontamination Unit/Endoscopy Unit (CDU/EDU) team in providing a safe and effective decontamination service.
  • You will work closely with the Decontamination Manager, Deputy Manager, and Supervisor to ensure that all instruments, endoscopes, and procedure packs are properly sterilized or disinfected.

About the Role: As a Decontamination Services Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the provision of sterile and/or high-level disinfected instruments, endoscopes, and procedure packs to Theatres, Wards, and Departments in a timely manner.
  • Working under the supervision of the Decontamination Manager/CDU Deputy/CDU Supervisor to prioritize tasks and manage daily duties.
  • Maintaining confidentiality for all patients and promoting good working relations with users of the CDU/EDU service.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of HSE Standards and Recommended Practices for Central Decontamination/Endoscopy Units.
  • A certificate in Decontamination, which can be obtained through an online course.
