Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer Job

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects in the data centre, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical devices, and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for building services projects
  • Conduct site surveys and tests to identify existing electrical and mechanical installations
  • Develop and specify applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes
  • Represent the company at technical meetings with clients, professional teams, and contractors
  • Prepare specification modifications (word or excel) and ensure engineering calculations and drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years' experience in a consulting engineering office or in an engineering role within a manufacturing company with a heavy design emphasis
  • Working towards or have achieved MCIBSE/MIEE or equivalent
  • Working towards Chartered Eng status
  • Excellent technical skills and written ability, motivated and enthusiastic, commercially aware, able to work on your own initiative and meet deadlines and liaise successfully with clients
  • Experience with BIM/Revit systems desired
