Job Title: Senior Web Application Developer

Flynn Group of Companies, a leading building envelope contractor in North America, is seeking a seasoned Sr. Web Application Developer to join their team in Toronto, Canada.

Tech Stack

Flynn utilizes a combination of technologies including .NET (C#), Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, MongoDB, MySQL, SQL Server, ASP.NET, Angular, Java, Swift, and Xamarin to build scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Experience designing, architecting, developing, performing code reviews, and testing key applications as a core team member
  2. A track record of designing new application features and integrations collaboratively to deliver complex solutions
  3. Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, resilient cloud solutions with security and disaster recovery considerations
  4. Ability to plan and execute technical deliverables with the team
  5. Maintenance of good code and test coverage through effective automated tests
  6. Adherence to CLEAN architecture and SOLID principles, promoting code quality
  7. Mentoring other developers in the software development lifecycle and best practices
  8. Collaboration with BA team and stakeholders to identify business needs and develop aligned solutions
  9. Availability for off-hours support as needed
  10. Participation in a rotating weekly on-call schedule

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • 10+ years of recent experience, with at least 5 years in a Sr. Web Developer or similar senior role
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science/IT or related field
  • Experience with .NET / .NET Framework and C#
  • Experience with Entity Framework
  • Experience with front-end TypeScript frameworks: Angular, React, Vue
  • Experience with relational databases: MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres
  • Experience with non-relational databases: MongoDB, DocumentDB, DynamoDB
  • Experience with Docker and container hosting: AWS ECS, Kubernetes
  • Basic Amazon AWS knowledge (or equivalent): EC2, S3, CloudFront, Elastic Beanstalk, DynamoDB
  • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with tools such as Atlassian Jira, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Aha, New Relic, Sumo Logic
