Job Overview

This role is pivotal in providing professional support to a dedicated team within the Multi Annual Programmes (MAP) Section, Network Enhancements Department. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Programme Manager, MAP, and Senior Structural Engineers & Project Managers to deliver departmental projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance to internal colleagues, external design teams, resident engineering teams, and contractors/suppliers.
  • Effectively utilize and collaborate with in-house and external resources.
  • Offer expert advice to your line manager and colleagues to facilitate the implementation of industry standards, regulations, and legislation.
  • Assist in implementing company and Capital Investment Division Standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A third-level 8 qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Membership of Engineers Ireland or an equivalent professional governing body.
  • A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience working in a Civil and/or Structural Engineering Design office.
  • A strong working knowledge of LUAS, Tekla TEEDS, SLOPE, WALLAP, or similar design software.
  • An excellent understanding of current Civil and Structural Engineering design standards, the Eurocodes, TII Standards, and Health & Safety Regulations.
