Job Description

The Rotunda Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capital Projects Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering and Estates Department, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of major capital projects across our hospital site.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management, engineering, and construction. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical, project management, and administrative support for departmental activities, including executing on engineering and project management deliverables, procuring design teams and contractors, and managing procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide technical support in the progression of major interim infrastructural capital developments onsite
* Manage project timescales and budgets for planning, design, construction, and equipping
* Coordinate the tender and control stages of the project
* Supervise staff and contractors in the implementation of agreed programmes
* Ensure adequate fire prevention and safety measures and standards are devised and applied in relation to interim developments

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • A Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) major academic award in Architecture, Engineering, Surveying or Project Management accredited by the relevant Professional Institute
  • Membership of the relevant professional association or eligibility for registration under the Building Control Act 2007
  • A minimum of five years' experience in architecture, engineering, surveying work, or Project Management, including adequate experience in the construction or maintenance of buildings or in the installation or maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and heating services of such buildings
